Step By Step Guide How To Use WP Affiliate Elite

1. Download WP Affiliate Elite and install it on your server.
   If you don't know how to install WordPress Plug-in read the Step By Step guide on How to install WP Affiliate Elite.
2. Click on "WP Affiliate Elite" on the top admin menu.
3. This is the main WP Affiliate Elite screen. On this screen you can see all the affiliate links that you have defined so far.
4. To Add a new affiliate link
   1. Click on the "Add new Affiliate link"
      
   2. Enter the keyword that you would like WP Affiliate Elite to convert to an affiliate link. It can be one keyword or a phrase (no need to add quotation marks). For example: WP Affiliate Elite
   3. Enter the affiliate link that you would like to use for the given keyword or phrase. For example: xxx.hop.clickbank.com
   4. Enter the text that you would like a user to see when their mouse hovers upon the link. (This feature is not supported by all browsers.) In any case your affiliate link will be hidden so no one can steal your commissions. For example: www.wpaffiliateelite.com
   5. Enter a number in the Max Replacement field. Enter 0 if you would like WP Affiliate Elite to use the global setting for this keyword.
   6. Choose the Keyword Priority. WP Affiliate Elite uses this rating to decide which links will be displayed in case not all of the links can be displayed due to the "Max Replacement" restriction.
   7. Enable the "nofollow" attribute if you want WP Affiliate Elite to add it to the <a> tag. This attribute tells search engines like Google, Yahoo < MSN Live that the hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index.
   8. Enable the Click Tracking if you would like WP Affiliate Elite to record each time a visitor clicks on this link. It can help you to determine which the keywords your Blog visitors click on and which ones they don't.
   9. Press the "save" button to finish and to return to the main screen. Click "cancel" to return to the main screen without saving the new affiliate link
5. To delete an existing link
   1. From the WP Affiliate Elite main screen click on the delete button next to the link that you would like to delete.
6. To edit an existing link
   1. From the WP Affiliate Elite main screen click on the "edit" button next to the link that you would like to edit.
   2. A new window will open with the link details.
   3. Make your changes you want as described in item 4
   4. Click the "save" button to save your changes.
7. WP Affiliate Elite Global Settings
   From the main screen click the "Global Settings" button. On this screen you can change the parameters that affect all the affiliate links that you have defined unless you override some of the parameters in the individual affiliate link properties page.
   
   1. Max Keywords Replacement
      How many times WP Affiliate Elite will add an affiliate link to a given keyword within a page.
   2. Max Total Keywords Replacement
      How many times WP Affiliate Elite will replace a keyword with an affiliate link within a page. This is the total number of affiliate links per page.
   3. Open affiliate link in a new window
      Enable this option if you would like all links to be opened in a new window.
   4. Enable Clicks tracking
      Enable this option if you would like WP Affiliate Elite to record every time a visitor clicks on an affiliate link. If this option is disabled then WP Affiliate Elite will not record click activity. Individual link settings can not override this setting.
   5. Enable Override Existing Links
      Use this option to enable or disable the option to override existing links. If you enable this option WP Affiliate Elite will override the existing links according to your keywords settings. If you disable this option, WP Affiliate Elite will keep the existing links as they are and will replace only unlinked keywords.
   6. Link Style
      Choose the link style that WP Affiliate Elite will use for an affiliate link. You can choose from pre-made styles or you can use the WordPress default theme link style.
